The SBC Classic Boat Rally is not for profit, but it does have overhead expenses, expenses associated with support craft and logistical transportation, and costs of trophies. Further, one of our objectives is to encourage interest and skills in sailing among young people though donations to the junior sailing programs of the host yacht and sailing clubs. Therefore, a portion of the support and sposorship income, as well as a portion of the participants' fees, will be donated to these programs. Individual supporting donations are not tax deductible, but corporate sponsorships probably are tax deductible. The support levels described below apply for the period through the Rally in May 2007.

Supporter: $50. Supporters and one guest are invited to all social functions of the Rally along with the participants but will bear the individual cost of functions actually attended on the same basis charged to the participants. Supporters will be listed on the web site and publicity materials when appropriate. Supporters may elect also to be on the email list of the participants regarding updates and news about the Rally.

Patron: $250.  Patrons get the privileges of sponsors plus free attendance at the Victory Celebration Dinner at Carolina Yacht Club in Charleston for the Patron and one guest (or a total of two individuals designated by the Patron).

Sponsor: $750. Sponsors get the privileges of Patrons plus they are entitled to an ad space on the home page of the Classic Boat Rally web site (through July 31, 2007) and may designate the name of one of the five legs of the Rally (available to the first five Sponsors).
